The World Cheese Awards return to British soil this November and will see entries from 34, no make that 35 different countries.
This years event will see an extra special entrant from Sirana Gligora, as their Paški Sir cheese becomes the first Croatian cheese to compete at the World Cheese Awards which is now in its 23rd year. In 2009 the World Cheese Awards crowned La Cendrillon World Champion in Gran Canaria, and now Paški Sir will try to take the ultimate accolade.
Following on from their success at the Nantwich International Cheese Show in August this year where Sirana Gligora won a silver medal with Paški Sir, they will be hoping for one better this time with their delicious artisan ewes’ milk cheese from the Island of Pag.
Described by the International Taste and Quality Institute as a wonderfully tasteful sheep milk cheese, bringing full and complex flavor to the palate and melting nicely in the mouth.
